“If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.”  Isaiah 58:10-12

Dreams For New Hope Future

  1. New Hope Expanded
  2. Albany Teen Center

New Hope has been out of space for years with our Sunday morning and children’s programming at the Central location.  Our passion is to continue to reach the lost in our community and effectively disciple and mentor from the youngest child to those mature in age.

During our Meals for Kids (feeding program) and Kingdom Kids (discipleship) we are currently averaging 45 children ages 4 to 11 weekly. These precious kids eat home cooked meals, memorize scripture, discover God’s love and hope for their futures.

Our dream is to remain in this “at risk” community and be able to meet the practical needs of the children as they approach adolescence. Sadly at Albany High School, approximately 50% of the students graduate, approximately 38% of the graduating students are minority.

Our dream is to aggressively fight this battle by opening Albany Teen Center hosting after school programming to encourage music/art/dance/sports while offering tutoring for their educational studies.

This Center would provide a positive Christ centered learning environment with tremendous encouragement and support to succeed and excel in life and educational studies.  Both the government and local schools have contacted churches in Albany asking for our help as this generational dilemma has grown wearisome.

Our desire is to meet this task head on and IMPACT this next generation with the Gospel in a new and tangible way.
